How to Use This Spreadsheet
Enter the acreage for your various land uses. Several
different organizations may be able to provide you with land
use data: your local USDA -Consolidated Farm Service Agency or
the conservation district office or county officials. If your
water resource is used for drinking water supply, the water
authority may have land use data for the watershed.
The spreadsheet will automatically calculate the individual and total land use loads and load percentages. You can use these calculations to help you determine your major sources of nutrient pollution. To continue your watershed assessment and evaluation, return to the Pollutant Source Page by clicking the back button and then select your major pollutant source from the list provided.
